Stop panic in it's first stage

You can use this simple technique to stop your panic from progressing any further and the way you do this, is simply by slowing down your breathing rate. You are effectively subduing one of the most prominent symptoms. You see, you can't be breathing slowly and panicking at the same time.

Breathe slowly through your nose and make sure you're pushing out your diaphragm or abdominal area and not your chest. The easiest way to do this is to place your hand on your stomach and as you breathe in, push your stomach out. This will reduce hyperventilation, which causes dizziness.
