Every Golf Cart Should Have A Golf Cart Cover

By: Darryl Glass

So you're an avid golfer and you've just treated yourself to a brand new golf cart! That's great because now you won't have to walk around the course when it's very hot, raining or very cold. You can drive from hole to hole in comfort. To protect your new cart, you should buy a golf cart cover.

Not only will a golf cart cover protect you and your passenger or caddy, but it will protect your expensive golf clubs. In addition, the life of your golf cart will be substantially longer if it is constantly protected. You paid thousands of dollars for the golf cart, so why not pay a few more dollars for a durable cover?

How often have you started playing a round of golf in bright sunshine when, half way through, the rain comes lashing down? The seats of your golf cart will get drenched, the engine can get clogged, the cart's paintwork can start peeling, and your clubs can get damaged. All this can be prevented with a cover!

However, the biggest threat to your golf cart is the sun. If you live in a hot climate, your cart is going to have to spend hours in baking sun. In no time, the seats and the paintwork will become faded and dull. That beautiful golf cart that looked so good could soon look rusty, shoddy and old.

You can buy golf cart covers from about $40 upwards. A really flashy, highly functional cover is in the region of $250. This is certainly not an exorbitant amount of money to protect such a valuable investment. Many golf cart covers can be folded so when, not in use, they can be neatly stored away.

You can even get see-through covers. These are great in the rain because you won't have to hang your head out of the cart to see where you are going. While driving around the golf course with a see-through cover, you won't have that boxed in feeling, and you can still appreciate the scenery.

Most golf cart covers will fit a standard sized cart so you should have no problem if you order online. If your cart has a windshield, you can get a cover with three panels. If it does not have a windshield, you can buy a cover with four panels. The rear panel often has a zipper allowing you to access your golf clubs easily. Other covers have a roll-back type of panel at the back for the same purpose.
