Acne tends to show up for most people around the same time, usually some time during high school. I was no exception and like everyone else, I tried all sorts of things to get it to go away. Nothing worked, but I wasn't to worried as my parents told me that as I got older, it would go away. They were wrong, unfortunately. My acne hung around and it also got worse.I got into the habit of trying out new products. Some worked ok and others were terrible. I really wanted to handle my problem so I looked around a lot online to hopefully find a cure.Through a lot of searching, I stumbled upon many people who had successfully treated their acne with homemade acne treatments. They used items that could be found around the house or bought for incredibly low prices. I was so excited that I began to wonder if I could combine them all into one super treatment.Instead of going crazy, I decided to follow the conventional wisdom and only followed the simple recipes found online. As with anything else, some worked well for me while others didn't. I wasn't particularly worried when a recipe didn't work out so well because it had only cost me a few dollars and I could probably recycle some of the ingredients into another idea.On top of not wasting my money anymore, I was also not using harsh chemicals on my face. My skin wasn't always clear, but it stopped being dull and actually looked really good. Ever since I noticed that, I've sworn off conventional medications. They never made me all that clear and they made my skin look like crap on top of it.After reading this far you probably want some ideas to get you started. There are all sorts of recipes all over the internet. You could try using baking soda as an exfoliate, it helps smooth the skin by clearing out dead skin cells. You could also try egg whites to smooth your skin and use egg yolks to help heal any marks or blemishes you might have.If these seem a bit off the way, you should try two quick and easy ones that many people have reported with great success. The first is using lemon juice as a cleaner/toner. Lemon juice works very well at clearing out pores. Just clean your face and apply it. Just make sure you mix some water with the lemon juice as a full strength mixture will sting quite a bit.You could also try a mask made from aspirin and water. Just crush up 3 tablets in a cup with a little but of water. You want this to be a thick mask so try not to use to much water. Then apply the mask and leave it on for about 10-15 minutes and then just rinse it off. This works well because aspirin in a beta-hydroxy acid and it will dissolve dead skin cells as well as fade away blemishes.
