Learn Some Easy Guitar Songs by The Beatles

By: David Clinton

OK. I'm ga-ga over the Beatles. What can I say?

I self-educated myself how to play the acoustical (and subsequently the electric) guitar by performing easy guitar songs that The Beatles have written. It was amazing to me how easy the chord structures were for such a large percentage of their songs considering how sweet and attention-getting their songs were. So how do I define easy guitar songs? I would say the song can sound sweet enough without the chords being all overly intricate and it suggests no more than four to five chords in total.

Here's one of the easy guitar songs by The Beatles with only 3 simple chords.

She's a Woman copyright 1964

A7 D7 A7

My love don't give me presents

A7 D7 A7

I know that she's no peasant

D7

Only ever has to give me love forever and forever

A7 D7 A7

My love don't give me presents

E7

Turn me one when I get lonely

D7

People tell me that she's only

A7 D7 A7

Fooling. I know she isn't

I'll let you know know right now that this song is just fantastic in my opinion, understanding that you may not have even ever heard of it before. I think this song is timeless. It could easily be done by a contemporary musical group and climb to the top of the charts. A multitude of musical stars across the decades have redone what were truly considerably easy guitar songs by The Beatles. To be honest, I typically favor the original versions..

Here is another outstanding instance of one of the easy guitar songs performed by The Beatles.

You've Got to Hide Your Love Away

G D F G C F C

Here I stand, head in hand. Turn my face to the wall

G D F G C F C D

If she's gone, I can't go on feeling two foot small

G D F G C F C

Everywhere people stare. Each and every day

G D F G C F C D

I can see them laugh at me And I hear them say

G C D

Hey you've got to hide your love away (repeat x2)

OK, I know, we have five chords associated with this song, but I still consider it one of their easy guitar songs that one can go to a party with and be noticed. You know why? People love singing along and loads of people remember the words to this song by heart.

The reason why I was motivated and determined to practice as much as I did when I initially began learning how to play guitar was that I placed my focus on on learning easy guitar songs that I thoroughly enjoyed. So go to your local music store and ask for a music book full of songs by a variety of your preferred musicians and mention to the salesclerk that you wish to buy a music book with fundamental chords for beginners. Then, before you decide to buy, look through the books to find out if the songs you wish to learn actually are easy guitar songs or not. Have fun!
