If you wan to play classic, blue grass, country and folk, then the acoustic and classic guitars are the ideal option. However, if you wan to play folk, finger style, and ragtime, then the acoustic and electric guitars produce the best sound. As for rock and metal, electric guitars should be used.

Once you know what type of music you want to play, you can buy the guitar accordingly. A person, who is at the advanced level of guitar playing, has already chosen from these types of music, which he wants to play and pursue in.

So, he already has in mind as to what he wants. At this stage, you do not want to buy something that is rough or is not in good condition, or is of a bad quality. At this level, you would want a good quality guitar, which would definitely be expensive. Therefore, you must buy from an authentic and reliable seller. It is always good to buy the established and prominent manufacturers, who are known for their quality.

There is no need to rush into buying a guitar. You must try the instrument before purchasing it and check to see if it adjusts to your hands. You must buy the one which is comfortable for your hands.
