For most people, Isotretinoin can be costly because being on this medication requires lot's of medical supervision. The cost's range between $500-$600 for a 16wk treatment, but might be less for those with sufficient medical coverage that allows for such expenses. Under a competent Dermatologist's care, Accutane is relatively safe and an effective cure for severe acne. Despite, the success that can be had with Accutane, it is not without risks. Other acne patients might start looking for alternative treatments because the treatment has been ineffective or they have had too many adverse side effects. Holistic approaches to acne treatment have proved successful in many patients and provide some patients with better alternatives to harsh medications without all the side effects.
